Let's just say it was an "interesting" night...

I just got home from a post-Valentine's dance. It was definitely interesting. Everybody there was twice my age. Some were even thrice my age! Hahaha! The people there were all über nice and the music wasn't half bad either. I also ended up meeting some exchange students from Mexico. The good news is they ended up being my age. They were sooo funny! All in all, I had a great time and I'd go again to another one of those dances in a heartbeat. Yes, yes I would. Don't make that face. *sticks out tongue*

Oh and Friday night was interesting too. We went ice skating for Cat's berfday at the Haro Ice Rink in downtown Vancouver. That was a lot of fun! I didn't fall once! Woohoo! A few of us then headed to The Grind on Main Street for some warm drinks. That's where things kind of took a turn because Cat spent most of the time there in the washroom making friends with the porcelain seat. And no, she didn't have a single ounce of liquor in her. Needless to say, we ended up at VGH until about 4:00am. Looooong story. I think I'll spare the gory details, but the moral of the story is "Never, ever eat anything that has the word special before it". Please, kids.

UPDATE: My trip to Capilano College went extremely well. My mom was a hit with the tour guides. They all thought she was so cute! That's me mum. Teehee... It was great. I really like the programs there and the atmosphere is amazing. It turns out I knew a few people who currently go there too! Buuuuut, they only offer 3-year full-time programs. I spoke with one of the professors and she told me that because I have no previous professional theatre training, they wouldn't recommend me for the 1-year certificate program. *le sigh* I really don't know about the 3-years part. I also overheard her talking to someone else about how the programs are intense and being in other productions or even working wouldn't be a good thing to do while you're enrolled in any of them. I know for a fact that right now, I can't afford to NOT work for a full 3 years. Heck, I can't even afford to stop working for 1 year, let alone 3. Anyway, my game plan now is to keep looking into other schools. This is just the first of many anyway, right? Right. At least, I hope so....

I've also got an audition on Monday for the Brave New Playrites Festival at UBC. I know, I know. I'm supposed to be on hiatus but, not being in a production is driving me nuts! I simply must audition for this. Besides, I haven't heard back about that second job I applied for with the library. I've got a feeling that they've decided to take other people instead. Hey, if at first you don't succeed, try and try again.

And with that, I'm going to head to bed. *yawn*

Ciao for now loverlies!

A dance?! How fun. Where was it held? Did you dance? Am I playing 20 questions?... hahaha.

3 years does sound like a lot of time for that program. I know Langara has Studio 58.. how long is their program?

I support your acting endeavors... so feel free to pass along plays you are involved in.. cause I loooove it! Good luck on getting into both things (library & ubc).
