CRAAAAZY!

Random Photo of the Day: Sexalicious Hugh Dancy! ;)

Okay, so I was right. This month has been pretty hectic so far and it's just getting started! The term 'March Madness' definitely rings true for me this year. *whew*

I worked my first shift as an LA1 last Saturday. Guess what department I worked in? The Children's department! Yupp! I looooooooooove kids! There were sooo many of them that day, running around, playing games and reading books. There were the cutest babies too with their parents. It was great! Although, working there that day reminded me that my biological clock is ticking. It said to me, "Better get a move on, girlfriend, and start pro-creating." Pssssh! What am I saying?!?! For the love of all things sweet and scrumptious! I'm only 21!!!! Jeebus....

Next weekend, my bestest from California is coming to visit for Spring Break. It's going to be fabulous! We've got a whole ton of über-fun events lined up like karaoke and bowling, but the most important thing is getting a chance to catch up with some old friends. The next weekend after that, I'm taking another roadtrip down to Seattle, WA. This time, we're staying for the weekend. WooOOOoOOoOOo! I wonder what fun things there are to do in good ol' Seattle? Hmmm.... SHOPPING! Mwahahahhaa!

I've also been going through something I like to call "acting withdrawal". It's been almost 4 months since my last show. This is the longest I've gone without performing in anything since I started in community theatre. I just haven't been a part of a production in so long that I'm feeling a little down about the whole acting thing. I want it. I need it. I crave it. Gawd, I sound like a pyscho. Hehehehe... All joking aside though, this whole "working-2-jobs" thing has thrown me off my groove. I'm realising that without acting, I feel pretty down most of the time. I need to get back into it. I need to get my groove back! But, I need the money. *le sigh*

Anyhoo, I'll leave this post here. I hope to post again soon, but with everything that's going on, I'm not going to make any promises. Teeheeheehee...

Ciao for now me beauties!

Tuesdays Are For Truckin'

Random Photo of the Day: My crush - cutie Hugh Dancy *sigh* <3

Tomorrow is going to be a big day. It's the first day of my 2-day training period as a Library Assistant. It'll be tough, but I'm prepared. Hi-yah! Afterwards, I get to relax and bust out my moves at the Nardwuar/Evaporators concert over at UBC with some of my co-workers. Gooood times!

I've also been thinking about auditioning for Theatre Under the Stars this summer. They've got Grease and Oklahoma on this year. I would absolutely L-O-V-E ----- LOVE to be a part of a production of Grease! I should also get up off of my fat arse and actually go to one of those drop-in Improv classes over at False Creek. C'mon Joy, dooooooooo it already. Hahahahaa....

Anyway, I should probably get some sleep. I've got an early and looooong day ahead of me tomorrow. But before I end this post, might I just add that Hugh Dancy is one beautiful, sexalicious guy?!?! *swoon* Teehee... Okay, okay, I'll stop. Later days!

C'est la vie!

Random Photo of the Day: Bowling last year at the Commodore

Oh my goodness... It's March of 2006 already! Gaaah! I can't believe it. With everything that's been happening, time just seems to be going by way too fast. WOOOOOSH!

By the way, a belated berfday shoutout to Jason. Happy 22nd Berfday sweetie!

I'm not really sure what to write for today's post. I just felt like typing away, really. Y'know, I've got a strange feeling that March is going to be one crazy month. Then again, regardless of what month it is, when has my life NOT been crazy? Teeheehee... Is that good or bad, you ask? It's a little bit of column A and a little bit of column B. One thing's for sure, it certainly keeps me entertained! Mwaahahahaahahaha!

Ah, c'est la vie.

How do you like THEM apples?!?!?

Ooooh yeah baby, who's an official Library Assistant now?! ME!! WOoOOOooOOooOO!! My co-worker Rina came into the office after her lunch and said, "Joy, Manju (HR Assistant) told me to tell you to call her. I think it's good news!" Teeheehee... So I call and Manju says, "Congratulations Joy! I'd like to offer you the position of being a Library Assistant Level I." Of course, I accepted it. Hehehe... I have two training days next week on March 07 and 08, 2006. Full days! I'm sooo excited (and I just can't hide it).

Anyhoo, my other co-worker, Polly, and I are heading out for dinner and then we're going to watch Titus Andronicus over at the Jericho Arts Centre. Goooood times ahead! I'll update later on how the play went. It's supposed to be reeeally gory. For a stage play, we shall see. Heeh...

UPDATE on TITUS ANDRONICUS: The play was awesome! I actually understood the entire play. Usually with Shakespearean plays, I'm sitting there going, "What the heck is going on? I know that word but I've never heard it used that way before." Stuff like that, hehe... But with this play, I actually knew what they were saying and why they were saying it. It was great! I think a lot of it had to do with the great interpretations of the cast too. My favourite line of the night was,
"Here stands the spring whom you have stain'd with mud,
This goodly summer with your winter mix'd."
Talk about some powerful shtuff! Titus was pissed cos his daughter Lavinia was raped and had her tongue and hands cut off. He said this line to her offenders. The imagery in it is so clear that it makes the line that much more packed with intensity. To be honest, I would've never thought of comparing someone being raped to the seasons or to a spring of water. I guess that's why William Shakespeare is "the grand literary figure of the Western world." (
